I was asked to tell how surgery changed my life.
First of all, I’d like to say that I met the best people ever. I mean the doctors of the department of portal hypertension. Every day they save lives despite being tired or stressed. Among them are Oleg Olegovich, Elena Leonidovna, Sergei Vladimirovich, Leonid Valerievich, Yuri Valerievich, Aleksey Evgenievich, Dmitry Iosifovich, Aleksey Mikhailovich, Yuri Viktorovich and Dmitry Pavlovich. I would also like to mention the specialists of the department of anesthesia and intensive care: Aleksandr Mikhailovich, Leonid Stanislavovich, Evgeny Oganezovich, Tatyana Pavlovna, Olga Andreevna and Andrey Fedorovich. All nurses. The gastroenterologist, who follows up the postoperative patients. I hope I named all everyone. I will never forget you.
Now about the changes… Well, my life has changed completely. The prognosis for my diseases was unfavorable: I was said I had 3-6 months to live. Now I got a second chance. Since 2009, I celebrate my second birthday on the 4th of March. My second birthday is in spring, when nature wakes up. I believe it is just the beginning of my life. There was time when I did not want to live at all. Today I am sure everything will be ok. It cannot be otherwise, because I cannot let down my doctors.
