Department of Coordination

The core activities of the department:

• manage retreatment, treatment, intensive follow-up and intensive care for the potential donors;
• use the latest computer technologies, applies guidelines and regulations to search potential donors among the patients of the healthcare establishments of Minsk and the Republic of Belarus;
• carry out serological typing and examination of donor-recipient pairs and ensure treatment of donors;
• arrangement and holding of councils on the pronouncement of brain death;
• calling the team of medical specialists, who carry out multi-organ and tissue retrieval, and coordination of their activities;
• obtain information about a potential donor’s health condition and a disease, apply the objective methods of patient examination, define the general and specific signs of a disease or an associated disorder in a potential donor, assess indications and contraindications to donation.
