Newly developed machines and consumables speed up biotransformation and help to remove from the human body the substances, which may cause disabling diseases. Many of our patients have the diseases resistant to conventional drug therapy. Extracorporeal detoxification proved to be effective in treatment of various autoimmune diseases, allergy, kidney and liver failure, severe endogenous intoxication caused by purulent and septic conditions.

We developed new sorption techniques and widely use them. We use charcoal hemosorbents for blood perfusion. The sorbents remove a wide range of toxic combinations from the human body. We developed unique hemosorbents, i.e. biospecific hemosorbents. Besides, we can remove from the patient’s body the specific combinations and toxins, which cause allergy, pancreatitis, septic complications, systemic lupus erythematosus, etc.

The medical specialists from Belarus and the CIS regularly undergo trainings in extra- and intracorporeal correction of hemostasis at the Department of Extracorporeal Detoxification. We also train scientific personnel.

Plasmapheresis is the removal of the agents of disease contained in patients’ blood plasma.

Plasmapheresis may be used as a part of a combined therapy, if a conventional drug therapy is not effective. Plasmapheres proved to be an effective treatment for the patients, who have abnormal amounts of immunoglobulins with the affinity to self-structures, or their derivatives. Among the diseases, which lead to increase of immunoglobulin levels, are rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, cryoglobulinemia, Sjogren syndrome, vasculitis, antiphospholipid syndrome, Rh disease, multiple sclerosis, myasthenia gravis, etc.

Hemosorption is the removal of metabolites and toxins from the circulation. Metabolites and toxins differ in physical and chemical characteristics and size.

Hemosorption is commonly used to eliminate the imbalance between the speed of formation and the speed of removal of various substances from the human body.

Uncoated charcoal hemosorbents effectively treat purulent and septic diseases, for instance, peritonitis, sepsis, phlegmons and burn disease.

Besides, hemosorption may be used as a part of combined therapy in the patients with acute intoxication, withdrawal syndrome, kidney or liver failure.

Ultraviolet irradiation of autologous blood (quantum hemotherapy).

A patient’s own blood (autologous blood) is collected, irradiated with ultraviolet in a disposable device and transfused back to the patient. The procedure has a stimulating effect on the human body.

Reinfusion (return) of autologous blood modified by quantum energy triggers positive reactions in the human body, i.e. in its tissues, organs and systems. Reinfusion effectively copes with secondary immunodeficiency and disorders of microhemodynamics. It is used to treat the patients with recurrent viral or purulent infections, to rehabilitate the patients with severe purulent or septic conditions, in some cases, to treat psoriasis and idiopathic infertility.
