Department of Neurology No.3 (OPSM)

The specialists of the department provide medical care to the patients with cerebral infarction, intracerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage and transient ischemic attack. The capacity of the department is 63 beds. There is also the intensive care and resuscitation ward for 9 patients.

The staff of the department includes neurologists, a general practitioner, a neurosurgeon, a function test specialist, intensivists and a speech and language pathologist. Professor A.S. Fedulov, Head of the Department of Neurological and Neurosurgical Disorders of Belarusian State Medical University, coordinates the activities of the department.

We examine and treat the patients in accordance with the guidelines approved by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus. Our specialists apply the latest methods of vascular neurology to treat the patients with acute cerebrovascular diseases.

Moreover, we offer an early and late rehabilitation to the patients with a stroke and a correction of cognitive deteriorations caused by a stroke.
